Sabretooth X-Men Movie Design.

One character I've always wanted to see brought to life properly on screen is Sabretooth. Tyler Mane had the physicality for the role, but not the acting chops, Liev Schreiber had the acting ability and menace but nowhere near the physicality needed.

Then, while watching Reacher, it struck me - Alan Ritchson! He has the perfect physicality for the role (check out the picture of him next to Henry Cavill in my reference!). He's physically imposing, has piercing eyes (even if they're not the usual classic colorless white from the comics and cartoons), and importantly, I believe he can deliver that signature evil smirk Sabretooth is known for.

For the design, I wanted to pay homage to the iconic Jim Lee era and the beloved 90s animated series, while grounding it in a more practical, movie-ready aesthetic. I Imagine a scene with Sabretooth stalking Wolverine through the Canadian Rockies. I swapped out the skin-tight mustard and brown suit for a thicker snowsuit, replacing the decorative stripes with functional pockets and contrasting fabric sections. The iconic mane is now integrated into the coat as an oversized hood for harsh conditions.
To maintain a similar silhouette, I replaced the headguard (whose purpose always baffled me – feel free to comment if you know!) with a bloodstained headband. Perhaps a memento from one of his victims an old buddy or lover of Wolverine? Finally, his famous claws bursting through thick winter gloves.
